Project Details:

Cast Supply renovated this formerly derelict warehouse building to serve as its head office and customer show room. Substantial interior and exterior improvements were completed along with a new masonry veneer. Endicott Brick and Continental Cast Stone were used along with a new curtain wall glass entry to transform this building into a modern, functional workplace for Cast Supply staff and customers.

The masonry component of this project was done in the summer of 2009 Masonry by Bond Masonry. Endicott Clay, Manganese Ironspot, Velour in a Meridian size (4”x 4” x 16”) was chosen because of its striking color and ironspot effect. The brick transforms through different light conditions throughout the day and makes the building really catch your eye. The larger ‘Meridian’ size was chosen to maximize efficiency for the mason and control installation costs.

Continental Cast stone (in a buff tone, color 1102) was chosen to complement and contrast with the Manganese Ironspot brick. The design was kept very simple and utilized two different sizes and textures. Some masonry detailing (ie. Lug and bullnose sills) were added to accentuate the architectural features of the exterior.
